With this addition, the range of the analysis and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grad.hr\/latom\/index.php\/equipment\/\">equipment<\/a> used by our laboratory for advanced testing of materials is further expanded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mercury Intrusion Porosimetry has been used for decades to measure the porosity and pore size distribution of cementitious material. It is a fast method that allows obtaining information about the structure of the pores. A mercury porosimetry can measure the pore diameter, which varies from 0.001 \u00b5m to 1000 \u00b5m depending on the pressure used to inject the mercury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/www.grad.hr\/latom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Porozimetar-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-503\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.grad.hr\/latom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Porozimetar-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.grad.hr\/latom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Porozimetar-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.grad.hr\/latom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Porozimetar-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/www.grad.hr\/latom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Porozimetar-1536x2048.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.grad.hr\/latom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Porozimetar-scaled.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The machine was procured within the project &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.grad.hr\/latom\/index.php\/projects\/act\/\">Advanced low CO2 cementious materials (ACT)<\/a>&#8220;, financed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/hrzz.hr\/\">Croatian Science Foundation<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.snf.ch\/en\/Pages\/default.aspx\">Swiss National Science Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are proud to announce that we will be using a new machine, Mercury Intrusion Porosimetry, for defining different measurable aspects of porosive nature of materials.
